Statement of Commitment to
Continuing Medical Education
The San Francisco Neurological Society is an organization of physicians
with a dedicated interest in the clinical neurosciences. The Society is
committed to the continuing medical education of its members and has an
obligation to its members and to the public to provide ongoing educational
programs designed to improve patient care and foster scholarly activity in
the neurosciences. This obligation includes not only imparting to the
membership an increased understanding of neurological diseases through
lectures on clinical and basic research, but also making them aware of
community and public health issues related to neurological illnesses and
preventive medicine.
Expected outcomes should be changes in competence performance and/or
patient outcomes.
Accreditation Statement
This San Francisco Neurological Society is accredited
by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association
(IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The San Francisco Neurological Society takes responsibility for the
content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
Designation Statement
The San Francisco
Neurological Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of
1 HOUR AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM per
hour of activity. It is estimated that the program will be accredited for
up to 16.4 hours. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to
the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.
