Fredric Gorin, MD,
PhD, Professor of Neurology, UC Davis Medical Center
"What Constitutes an Inflammatory Neuropathy?”
and
Claudia Greco, MD, Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology, UC Davis
Medical Center
"The Neurodiagnostic Skin Biopsy: Will It Replace the Sural Nerve
Biopsy?”
Dr. Fredric Gorin is the
professor of neurology at UC Davis Medical Center and is involved in drug
design and signaling pathways pertaining to cancer metastasis and
microglia activation and inflammation. His talk will focus on neuropathies
that are a manifestation of (1) systemic autoimmune and (2) viral
disorders and (3) those neuropathies that are primary targets of the
immune system. Dr. Claudia Greco is the associate clinical
professor of pathology at UC Davis Medical Center and is involved in
diagnostic and teaching activities, with research interest in Fragile
X-related Tremor Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS). Her talk will reveal that the
cutaneous nerve biopsy is becoming more available for use by neurologists
in clinical practice. It is less invasive, less expensive and can easily
be performed in the office setting. (Please click the links above for
more details on the speakers and the talks).

Society is accredited by the Institute of Medical Quality and the
California Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for
